Western Reserve Kennel Club, Inc. was founded in 1917 and is a recognized by the American Kennel Club as an all-breed club organized to promote purebred dogs and provide ongoing education and information to the public. WRKC is one of the oldest and most respected kennel clubs in this area. Our club regularly meets and hosts a speaker series which is free and open to the public. We welcome you to join us.
WRKC regularly hosts conformation, obedience, agility, rally trials and AKC Fit Dog walks. We also routinely host “meet the breed” events by dedicated breeders and owners to help people discover the various characteristics of the breeds, the amazing things they can do, and why they are so special. Our club members are excellent mentors and gladly share their experience and ideas. WRKC annually supports the Ohio State University Veterinary School by providing scholarship funds to veterinary students, the Cuyahoga County Kennels by providing needed items and local 4-H clubs and dog show enthusiasts by providing training and support. Please join us.
Our dog shows will be November 25-26, 2023 at Summit County Fairgrounds. MB-F is our superintendent. We hope to see you there!
WRKC provides excellent, inclusive, and supportive canine education steeped in the tradition of the sport of purebred dogs. Our members understand and appreciate that selective pure-bred dog breeding, rooted in love, hope, care, and appropriate health testing results in predictable breed traits that foster deep and lasting bond between canines and humans.
